It all starting with the book Make Ink a forager’s guide for natural ink making. I instantly fell in love with making ink from food scraps to copper hash. It was like a chemistry experiment with food and ph shifters. All of this collection is hand drawn with a monoline pen then I added the food scraps in the circle instead of paint.
This sundial shell painting is made from sumac and avocado ink. Sealed and preserved for longevity. Keep away from direct sunlight.
The painting is mounted on a birch board then framed with a natural birch frame complete with a sawtooth hanger.
