Peonies are one of my favorite flowers to paint, been thought they are one of the most difficult. I love all the small details and turning petals in a peony flower. This peony painting has several layers of watercolor to get depth and detail.
Details: Original watercolor painted on arches 140lb paper mounted on a birch board for vibrancy and depth. Framed with an 1 1/2 inch natural maple frame with a sawtooth hanger.
